In March, I was honored to help Bill Crook (Crook Custom Guitars) at the Nashville vintage guitar show! This was a great opportunity to hang out with my favorite guitar/bass builder - and soak up some of his knowledge (or try to anyway). I was fortunate to meet a lot of wonderful people that day... and I came home with a beautiful...

Happy New Year, friends! It is really hard to believe that it is 2015 - where did the year go? I guess the old saying is true... time does go faster and faster!
As I sit here in my cozy apartment, sipping hot tea, I am overwhelmed with confidence and high expectations going into this New Year, I am happy, and I am thankful.

Happy New Year, friends! One of my goals this year is to keep all of YOU better updated on what's happening in my crazy, musical, creative, busy, lovely world. As you can see, I have not made a journal entry since early last year... ah! Seriously? That almost seems impossible. I have to say... 2013 was an amazing year! I am so deeply saddened by the passing of Levon Helm. I was shocked when I heard the news yesterday. The contributions that Levon made to music are astronomical!
While I was in college, Pandel Collaros introduced me to a beautiful movie called "The Last Waltz." Wow. Ever since that moment, I've been all about The Band. I spent my college years tearing apart Rick Danko bass lines -...

Nashville's first power trio... coming soon! Check out this video of our first rehearsal - the three of us were never together in the same room until this night. Awesome! Video features raw footage of Sol Philcox on the lead guitar/vox, Sean Sunderland on drums, and Amanda McCoy on bass. We're playing all of the good stuff, Nashville isn't ready for this. Stay tuned.

Here is the studio video that I promised! As always, my sessions with Pandel Collaros were extremely productive and successful! Thanks, Pandel! This video features raw footage from the January 2012 sessions for my new album, The Hurt - which is set to be released in Fall 2012.
Here are some photos from the January sessions.
